Walking with Dinosaurs - The Arena Spectacular
Walking with Dinosaurs is roaring into Kansas City, Missouri November 7-9th.
Dinosaurs once again roam the earth when the spectacular theatrical arena show, WALKING WITH DINOSAURS – The Arena Spectacular, based on the award-winning BBC Television Series, returns to North America for the first time since 2010. Worldwide, more than eight million people have seen this show in over 220 cities and almost 2,000 performances.
What exactly is "WALKING WITH DINOSAURS" - is it a movie or an exhibit?
It is a live theatrical show performed in two acts with an intermission. It toured North American 2007-2010 and was the #1 arena show worldwide. This is the closest you and your family will ever get to experiencing what it was like when dinosaurs walked and ruled the earth.
How long is the show?
96 minutes, including an intermission.
What age and interest is appropriate for this show?
Ages 3 to 93. The show is appropriate for the entire family. There is no violence. Some children (and adults) may be momentarily taken by surprise by the impact of sound and lights used to simulate dinosaurs roaring, earthquakes rumbling and volcanoes erupting but the audience’s fascination with the dinosaurs, the symphonic music and the beautiful lighting creates an overall experience of awe and wonder.
Are small children allowed free admission?
Please check with your local venue.
Is the show exactly the same?
Many of the dinosaurs have been updated to reflect recent scientific discoveries about what dinosaurs looked like.
There was a movie called “Walking with Dinosaurs” at Christmas. Is this a live version of the movie?
No. The movie and the live show are both based on the original BBC TV series WALKING WITH DINOSAURS, but the live show existed first and the record-breaking production toured the United States in 2007-2010. There are no talking dinosaurs in the arena production.
Where should we sit?
The scale of this spectacle is hard to imagine. The tallest dinosaur is nearly as tall as the jumbotron. Truly every seat is a great seat.
