Accessibility
The Peoria Civic Center takes pride in assisting guests with special needs. Special needs seating is available for all events at The Peoria Civic Center, but it is available on a first-come, first-serve basis so we encourage you to act as soon as you know you'll attend an event. Planning well in advance offers the most options.
While you can purchase accessible seats through Ticketmaster outlets or telephone services, we recommend that you call or visit The Peoria Civic Center Box Office for your special needs tickets. Our Box Office staff possesses the most knowledge and familiarity of our venue to assist in accommodating special needs.
We encourage you to stop by the Box Office, or call them at (309) 673-3200. A valid credit card is required and service fees may apply to all show tickets. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted.
Mobility Needs
For persons using wheelchairs or other mobility devices, there are seats on the concourse level of the Arena between the lower and upper bowls. One guest is welcome to accompany the person using the wheelchair or mobility device.
For guests who are uncomfortable with a large number of steps, we recommend seating on the aisles of Row 20 of the Lower Bowl in the Arena. Access to these seats requires three small steps (with handrails).
In the Theater, handicapped seating is available on the Main Floor, house right, toward the back (Rows V, X and Z). In each of these rows there are 2 wheelchair spaces and 2 companion seats for a total of 6 wheelchair seats and 6 companion seats. (Rows W and Y have spaces to back wheelchairs in and out.) Patrons can take a ramp from the lobby into the house seating area.
Parking
The Peoria Civic Center has 25 handicapped parking spaces available in its parking lots – 11 in the Marquee lot and 14 in the Fulton lot. We also have an easily accessible drop-off lane to let your party off near the building.
Hearing Impairments
The Peoria Civic Center Theater has phonic devices to assist guests with hearing impairments. On the night of an event, interested parties should pick up these devices at the Coat Check area in the Theater lobby. We ask that you leave your driver’s license until the device is returned at the end of the event. If you have any questions, please ask an usher.
The Peoria Civic Center can also attempt to arrange for an interpreter, if needed. Please contact The Peoria Civic Center Box Office as soon as possible (preferably at the time tickets go on-sale) and no later than 72 hours prior to the event.
Visual Impairments
Arrangements to accommodate visual impairments may be made for some events through the Peoria Civic Center Box Office. Contact the Box Office regarding questions, concerns, and requests for visually impaired seating. Again, planning in advance offers the most options. |
