The Keller (originally known as the Civic Auditorium) was built in 1917. It was completely renovated in 1968. Throughout the years, it has been the 'workhorse' theater for the city of Portland, hosting many performing arts events each year. The building is home to the Portland Opera, The Oregon Ballet Theatre, and Oregon Children's Theatre. It also hosts many national acts and traveling Broadway shows.
The concession stands (located on the main level and first balcony) offer fresh cookies, coffee, and other small fare. Full service bar locations are also open during most events.
The Keller Auditorium Box Office on site is open 2 hours prior to performances for day-of-show sales and will-call tickets. Directions to Keller Auditorium
<b>BY CAR:</b>
From I-5 North or I-84 East
Follow I-5 to the City Center/Oregon City Exit. Follow the signs toward City Center. After crossing the Morrison Bridge, follow SW Washington to 3rd Avenue. Turn Left. Go 10 blocks to SW Clay St. Keller Auditorium is the building on the left.
<b>From I-5 South:</b>
Follow I-5 to Front Avenue exit. Follow signs to Front avenue. Cross Front Avenue and continue 3 blocks to SW 3rd Avenue. Keller Auditorium is the building on the left.
<b>From Highway 26 West (Sunset):</b>
After going through the Vista Ridge Tunnel, get in the center lane. Take the Market St./City Center Exit.Continue on SW Market to 3rd Avenue. Keller Auditorium is the building on the left.
<b>From Highway 26 East (Ross Island Bridge) or Highway 99 East (McLoughlin):</b>
After coming off the Ross Island Bridge, follow signs to Highway 26/Front Avenue. Turn right onto Front at the stop signal. At signal, turn left onto SW Clay Street, and continue for 3 blocks to SW 3rd Avenue. Keller Auditorium is the building on the left.
<b>BY BUS:</b> All Tri-Met buses destined for Portland City Center converge on the transit mall. Northbound buses travel 6th Avenue through the center of town, and Southbound buses travel on 5th Avenue. Ask your bus driver to let you out at the stop nearest SW Clay St. Walk east on Clay to 3rd Avenue. Keller Auditorium is at the corner of 3rd and Clay.
